Again the main focus of this word study is Lust as in the Lust of the Flesh found in Galatians 5:17, but first let's review what we have learned so far.
Samplings of Root Stem or Main Tree Trunk:
1A Mark 14:12 "...the Passover Lamb was being sacrificed..."
1B Luke 1:11 "...An Angel of the Lord standing at the right side of
the Altar of incense."
1C Hebrews 9:4 "Which had the golden censer..."
1D Luke 1:9 "His lot was to burn incense"
1E Revelation 12:12 "...for the devil is come down to you having
Revelation 19:15 "...and He treads the winepress of the
fierceness and wrath of Almighty God."
From a look at the trunk we don't see blandness or wishy-washy or lukewarm - but on the contrary - red hot - do or die whether good or used in an evil sense.
The first family member we looked at was the compound word
A + Thuo or without or not any fierceness and the translators chose discouraged or to lose heart - thus reflecting back on the Root Stem 2 new words courageous or stout hearted. Again either of these can be looked at as used for good or evil.
Next we are going to look at the things our flesh lusts or desires for and what the Holy Spirit strongly desires.
(Wait 'Till You See The Conclusion!!)
